GENERAL INFORMATION

UCTEA Chamber of Geological Engineers Izmir Branch is organizing the 2^nd International Marble-Natural Stones Congress on 2^nd-4^th February 2010 in Izmir / Turkey with contributions of Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Engineering Department of Geological Engineering, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and IZFAŞ.

The concept of this congress includes topics and issues of marble and natural stones sector and discussing these issues from scientifical, technical, commercial, administrative and legal aspects. During the congress invited papers and the chosen papers by the scientifical committee of the congress will be presented. On the afternoon session of the 3^rd day an open session will take place with especially participants who will be chosen by the sectoral institutions related to marble and other natural stones.

We believe the objective scientifical and technical estimations will be realized during the congress will provide important contributions to the road map of the sector in the future in all over the world.
